Meaningless Assignments
Here’s a question for you: If there is enough information about a topic that it is even possible to plagiarize it, why write about it?
Who wants to be a hack?
I have to write a 20 page (at the minimum) thesis in order to graduate. The paper must discuss Judaism, Christianity, and/or Islam. But I don’t want to do it because it is meaningless.
I need what I’m doing to be something meaningful, not just a rehash of somebody else’s words. I need Barack Obama to say, “Mr. Sizemore, we need you to do some serious, original research concerning the Hebrew and Arabic alphabets. A new branch of fundamentalist Islam terrorists has formed. This sect has created a currently unbreakable code using a mixture of the two scripts. We need a full, hundred page report. Here is your plane ticket and machete. You have one year to complete the project – that’s all the time we’ve been given before Puerto Rico is destroyed.”
This kind of archaic skill-building is for feral children. I need MEANINGFUL work.
