Why You Voted for McCain – Part Two

I thought you all were smarter than this, but I guess not. To staunch the venom, I only have one thing to say…

If you think that I feel all McCain voters are idiots, that is absolutely not the case. I live in Tennessee. This is a state that ranks in the top 3 in the nation in spousal abuse, prescription drug use, syphilis, bankruptcies, divorces, fire-related deaths, and police killed on duty.

Tennessee is 45th in child care, 47th in library spending, 48th in college degree holders, and 50TH IN LOCAL ELECTION TURNOUT. Worst of all, during Sundquist’s last term, Tennessee was 51ST IN THE NATION IN EDUCATION SPENDING, behind PUERTO RICO.

Tennessee went for McCain. And that’s fine. All I am saying is that in my day-to-day life since returning from France, I encountered FAR MORE people who voted for McCain based on the reasons in my last article than for other reasons.

Perhaps I should’ve labeled the article “Why Tennesseeans Voted For McCain”, but I didn’t, at the time, think it was necessary.

So McCaineys, you are still idiots. Informed McCain voters, well-done on making a decision based on your own research and interpretations.

I hope this clears the air, kids. Please stop lambasting me in your e-mails; I’ve had enough.

  1. Bitterly attacking a particular group of people is NEVER right. You have been very rude to McCain’s supporters saying that they are uneducated and even calling them “idiots”.

What would you think is someone said that about you as an Obama supporter? For your knowledge, I did NOT support McCain. All I can say is: I am disappointed, and I hoped for better from you.

    Unhappily,
    Nate
