Work Two Full Time Jobs, One Part-Time Job, and Go to School Full Time, All While Getting 8 Hours of Sleep Every Night
It’s true; this is possible!
There are 168 hours in a week.
- Job 1 – 40 hours.
- Job 2 – 40 hours.
- Job 3 – 20 hours.
- School – 4 classes. (12 Credit Hours)
- 7 Days a week – 8 hours a night.
What a jam-packed, fun-filled week!
You work a little more than 14 hours a day with this plan; not too bad! You always have to be a little bit late to class, but it’s no big deal, right? You’re making money!
You leave class a little early every day or don’t even go at all, so that’s awesome. Class blows, right?
You often have to go without showering, so you are saving water. You Jolly Green Giant, you.
You can’t keep anything straight because of how busy your schedule is, but that’s life, right? Roll with the punches? You often forget about things, but you just laugh it off. It’s good to laugh at yourself. And hey, you are so busy that you can never do anything besides work, go to class, and sleep, so you definitely need something to laugh about.
Is this any way to live?
Human beings are not ROBOTS. Just because you have the TIME to do many things doesn’t mean that every minute of every day has to be allocated. People may think slackers are hurting themselves, but at least they have time to eat something decent and catch their breaths once in awhile! Overachievers constantly make lists and berate themselves for not getting enough work done or not being perfect. Don’t fall into this cycle – this TRAP.
Slow down, and prioritize your life. All things need varying levels of your time and attention. This means that you mustn’t try to be perfect all the time. Sure, it might work for a few weeks, but you can’t sprint forever.
If your life is out of balance, don’t feel guilty for pulling the plug on something. Even if money is tight, an extra hundred dollars isn’t worth sacrificing your physical and mental well-being.
